We're pretty big fans of anything Winspear decides to put out, so when the L.A.-based record label signed runo plum last summer, we were eager to hear what would emerge from the pairing. The firstfruits could be heard on the debut LP, patching, on which Plum's dreamy, organic melodies worked their slow magic on the listener to great effect ("Locket" was an overlooked gem, in particular).

Now, Plum has a new EP on the way, entitled Bloom Again (due May 8), and "pink moon" is the latest single. She describes the song as a tribute to her partner and collaborator Noa Francis, who plays additional guitars on the recording, and you can read more insight below.

"The love I was experiencing felt like a 'once in a blue moon' situation–but we are both girls, so it felt cute to make it a 'pink moon.' It really is just a very tender love song, written after my first date with my girlfriend, Noa. Looking back on it a year and a half later, it’s definitely a good example of the intensity of the 'honeymoon' phase. I recorded it while I was lounging in bed, the night after our date, and there was just something really special about the feeling of the first time playing it that felt impossible to re-create."
