Willa Amai is just 16 years of age, but the burgeoning artist has already turned plenty of heads after being signed by songwriter Linda Perry of 4 Non Blondes. Amai has already played with Dolly and Brandi, has appeared on Ellen and The Today Show, and has been featured in several media outlets.
Today we've got the acoustic video premiere for her single "Ocean," and she keeps things straightforward in the vid. She tells us, “The video for the acoustic version of Ocean is simply a visual representation of the song itself: simple, emotional, and real.“
Despite her youth, her melodic sensibilities are evident from the outset and her vocal work is quite memorable. This lovely ballad works so well in this stripped down arrangement and makes it easy to picture with a full band or studio treatment.
