On May 15, 2025, Saint Motel brought their Symphony in the Sky Tour to a triumphant close at the Egyptian Room at Old National Centre in Indianapolis. The venue's ornate architecture and dynamic acoustics provided an ideal backdrop for the band's blend of indie pop and orchestral elements.
Tracks from their latest album, Saint Motel & the Symphony in the Sky, such as "Fine Wine," "Steady Hand," and "Hold My Place in Heaven," came to life impressively in this final tour stop that also included 33 other shows across North America.
While the tour incorporated simulated string arrangements, a live violinist added depth to the performance with vocalist A.J. Jackson playfully conducting a silhouetted quartet at various points throughout. Jackson also made the night more memorable with his engaging style as front man.
Jackson's charismatic presence and signature croon alongside the band's tight musicianship kept the audience in rapt attention throughout the night. The encore, featuring "Sweet Talk," "Van Horn," and the ever-popular "My Type," left everyone in high spirits. The latter specifically had the entire crowd jumping en masse before exiting the venue.
Saint Motel will next prep for a slot at Bonnaroo, but their most recent tour left attendees with lasting memories of a night where indie pop met symphonic grandeur.
